Karen Blackiston

Director

Karen has a varied portfolio of clients and advises on all aspects of their affairs. Karen's experience includes:

• estate and business succession planning
• business cessations and partitions
• tax efficient strategies for dealing with development land
• trust creation, administration and cessation
• business refinancing

Karen is authorised by the ICAEW to conduct non-contentious probate work, and controls Chavereys’ provision of probate and deceased estate administration services.

Karen has a degree in Biochemistry with Management from Imperial College, London and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, having been a prize winner in the paper on Taxation of Trusts and Estates.

Alongside her work at Chavereys, Karen is a trustee of Canterbury Oast Trust, a charity which provides accommodation and learning opportunities to adults with learning disabilities across Kent.
