About us

Chavereys was formed in 1998 by Martyn Crawley and Richard Davis who at this time were two of the managing partners of Reeves and Neylan, the largest practice in Kent. They both shared the view that firms must be specialist in order to provide quality of service. Their focus was and still is on clients who want advice rather than clients who just want the compliance aspects undertaken.

The practice has grown rapidly since then and in 2006 we opened our East Anglian office.

There are 6 partners; headcount is just under 25 with a very high proportion of Chartered Accountants. We are a young, dynamic team and we have one of the best private client tax teams outside of London.

We publish the Monthly Farming Update (started by Prof John Nix) which has a wide readership amongst farmers and professionals.
